Went to see a Japanese pop culture exhibition in New Farm last night and to say it was shit is a fucking understatement.
Imagine 10 shitty paintings by Australians pretending to be Japanese and a room full of hipster cunts who will not move away from their fucking spot and get hammered on free cheap red wine. A hot nail in my left eye would have been a better way to spend my Friday night.
So here's my tip: When the pinball machine that belongs to the interior is the most outstanding piece of a whole exhibition then it's probably shit.

August 2nd: off guts
No not really. Just a photo of Dan and me at the RAW showcase last Wednesday. I am sad it was held on a Weekday, because it was pretty fun and I would have loved to stay longer.
BUT what really pissed was that there were photographers EVERYWHERE who CONSTANTLY asked the exact same people to take their photo. And also: Since when do people take tripods to parties? Seriously? A DSLR at a drunken party already yells "douche bag" in all directions, but a tripod really makes me want to punch people (metaphorically. because i hate violence...but you know what I mean)
So here is my tip for all photographers: if p
there are only 200 people in the venue and you have been taking photos for two continuous hours you probably took every arseholes photo by now. Stop harrassing the crowd and concentrate on the artists instead. And leave your tripods at home!!

August 1st: A pin-up and a countdown
Hey there! Thanks for having me on this lovely first day of August. It's official now, the main part of the year is over and Summer is approaching in the southern hemisphere. Oh so exciting. Now there is a lot of excercise waiting for me to feel somewhat comfortable in a bathing suit again and I am also counting down the days until I am going overseas again. Double Yay!!! I miss my family A LOT and can't wait to consume lots of Austrian food, drink and fashion.
In the meantime I am trying to make myself at home by adding a little charm to this still very cold living room:
I bought this at Earthborn for $ 15. Tres francais. Probably influenced by the impression the movie 'Gainsbourg' had on me. Great stuff. Weird and wonderful. Just the way I like it. And Laetitia Casta was stunning as Brigitte Bardot. Ahhh I should really watch more SBS. 11 hr shift tomorrow. Wish me luck and I'll talk to you soon xxxx
